First short film made at CalArts. Something I really should have posted already, but I guess I forgot.
Idea came from a sign I saw on campus early in the year calling for "Survival Jobs Auditions" in the theatre school. Presumably it was a play they were puttin on, but I couldn't help but take the sign literally. Had a similar idea I was already tooling into making my film, but when I saw the sign I realized it fit too perfectly to not use.
Anyway, this is all hand-drawn on a Cintiq using TVPaint. Written, directed, concept art'ed, story boarded, and finally produced by me. Music was made for me by the ridiculously talented Ben Cohn of bionicbenbo.tumblr.com and no one else gets any credits because aside from some simple pointers, I didn't ask for help on this film. I wanted to see what I could do on my own. Next year's film is already a slight different story..... just slightly....

Some sequences near the end had a bit of a flow problem, but this was fun to watch, regardless! And doing some 2D animation myself, I know just how time-consuming it is, so I definitely commend you for being able to display this finished product.
